EIFFAGE GENIE CIVIL MARINE with BOA launched first three caissons for BP’s GTA Hub Project

Semi-submersible BOA Barge 33 has received and launched the first three concrete caissons for BP’s Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project with Eiffage Génie Civil Marine as main EPC Contractor.
Each skidding loadout operation was executed in close cooperation between project teams of BOA and Eiffage Génie Civil Marine. Rigorous procedures established in the engineering process prior to mobilization were followed to ensure safe and successful operations.

The submerging capacity of BOA Barge 33 which is 21m of water depth over aft main deck, contributed to the successful offloading of each caisson, weighing approximately 16.200t and with a floating draft of 17m.

Barge and caisson shifting was done by two ASD tugs, BOA Brage and BOA Heimdal.

BOA looks forward to the next operations and further close cooperation with Eiffage Génie Civil Marine on this project.
