BOA Sets New Industry Record with Hebron Topside Mating Operation
BOA is proud to announce the successful completion of the record-breaking Hebron Topside Mating operation, a monumental achievement in offshore engineering. This operation involved the transfer of a massive 50,900-ton topside to the floating Gravity Based Structure (GBS) at Bull Arm, Canada.
Using the BOABARGE 34 and BOABARGE 37 in a catamaran configuration, BOA executed the topside lift-off, transport, and mating with exceptional precision and efficiency. The entire process, from the initial lift to the final load transfer and removal of the barges, was completed in just five days.
BOA’s engineering team played a pivotal role, delivering comprehensive engineering and operational support throughout both the planning and execution phases. Their expertise ensured the flawless delivery of this complex operation, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
