Naming ceremony of newbuilt tug BOA HUGIN

The newbuilt ice-classed ASD tug BOA HUGIN was named in Trondheim, Norway Thursday 31st. October 2024.

The godmother is Chiraphorn Tunkrathok, wife of Eskil Bjørnevik

The vessel is of DAMEN ASD Tug 3010 ICE design, with an overall length of 30m, beam of 10m, a bollard pull of minimum 60t and ICE class 1A. 

 

BOA HUGIN is owned by Boa Tugs AS with Boa Management AS as manager and operator of the tug.  

 

BOA HUGIN will be joined by the newbuilt sister tug BOA MUNIN by end November 2024 and both tugs will be based in Sandnessjøen, Norway and provide port support services, towages and emergency response along the coast of Norway.
